Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Spray Painter to join our manufacturing team. This role involves applying protective and decorative coatings to various metal and industrial components, ensuring quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, experience with hand and power tools, and familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, and welding. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
- Operate spray painting equipment efficiently to apply coatings evenly on parts and assemblies
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assist in surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Utilize cranes and forklifts for moving heavy or bulky items safely within the workspace
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste
- Perform quality checks on painted components to ensure finish standards are met
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure all safety protocols are followed during operation
- Assist with assembly or machining tasks when required, supporting overall production goals
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with crane operation and forklift handling is a plus
- Experience in spray painting or coating application is highly desirable
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency
- Ability to work safely around machinery, including machining equipment and assembly stations
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
