Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting our meal packages to various locations across the GTA, while ensuring the timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail, and adherence to safety regulations.
You will need to provide your own vehicle. Gas expenses provided based on mileage.
Delivery days are Monday and Thursday evenings. You will collect the packages at 5.30pm with the expectation to complete the route by 9.30pm. We expect to open up longer routes and additional days as our company grows, so there is the possibility for more hours at a later stage.
Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure that all deliveries are made within designated timeframes while providing excellent customer service.
Skills
- Proficient in driving with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle performance.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
