Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSW) / Unregulated Care Providers (UCP) to provide high-quality care to clients in a Retirement facility setting. The ideal candidate will assist individuals with daily living activities, support seniors, and those with disabilities, including those experiencing dementia. This role requires a caring attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently as part of a team. Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives while gaining valuable caregiving experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support seniors and individuals with disabilities in their personal care routines
- Administer medications following proper protocols and documentation procedure
- Support clients with mobility and transfers
- Follow care plans and document care provided accurately and timely
- Assist with recreational activities or exercises as directed by care plans
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, environments is preferred
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those with dementia is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is an asset
- Caregiving experience including meal preparation, cleaning, and personal care tasks is beneficial
- Certification in PSW is mandatory
- Current Police Check
- Current CPR, First Aid
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role
Pay: $18.47 per hour
