Summary
We are seeking a Loader to join our team at Harry Freeman & Son Ltd. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of our sawmill by loading and unloading materials safely and effectively. The Loader will contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality lumber products while maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate wheel loader with forks to load and unload lumber from various processes around the mill site.
- Ensure safe handling of all materials during loading processes.
- Conduct routine daily inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing duties.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly wheel loaders with forks are an asset.
- Familiarity with commercial driving principles is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be qualified to work in Canada.
