Responsibilities:
As a Business Analyst for the Strategic Derivatives Program, you will be the documentation backbone of our platform modernization initiative. Your typical day involves:

Requirements Gathering & Analysis – Collaborating with business stakeholders and project teams to understand functional and technical requirements for the new derivatives platform

Documentation Development – Creating comprehensive requirement specifications, process documentation, and technical guides that translate complex requirements into clear, actionable information

User Guides & Training Materials – Developing end-user documentation and training resources to support smooth adoption of the new system

Runbook Creation – Preparing operational procedures and step-by-step guides for system maintenance, troubleshooting, and day-to-day operations

Stakeholder Communication – Acting as a bridge between business teams and technical teams, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle

Project Support – Providing ongoing documentation and analytical support to ensure the strategic initiative stays on track
Must-have Skills:
Professional Experience
-
3+ years as a Business Analyst from Banking – Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management, ideally within financial services or technology projects.

Financial Services Background – Experience in fund administration, derivatives trading, or related financial operations is essential to understand the business context and technical complexities of this modernization initiative.

Documentation & Process Mapping – Proven ability to create clear, comprehensive documentation, including requirements specifications, process flows, user guides, and operational procedures.

Project Collaboration – Experience working cross-functionally with business teams, technical architects, developers, and operations to translate requirements into deliverables.

Derivatives products knowledge
Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)

Derivatives or Financial Systems Knowledge (preferred) – Industry-specific certifications or demonstrated expertise in derivatives trading, fund accounting, or settlement processes

Advanced Financial Services Experience

Derivatives Platform Experience – Familiarity with existing or legacy derivatives systems, trading platforms, or settlement processes provides valuable context for understanding migration requirements.

Fund Administration System Knowledge – Experience with fund accounting software, NAV calculations, or portfolio management systems demonstrates deeper industry expertise.

Domain & Industry Experience

Change Management Experience – Background in managing system implementations or organizational change initiatives.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Leadership – Experience designing and executing UAT plans ensures smooth system rollout.

Trading or Operations Background – Hands-on experience in derivatives trading, operations, or settlement teams provides practical insight into end-user needs.
