Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in residential and commercial electrical. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across various projects, including renovation and construction sites. The Journeyperson Electrician will ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations, contributing to the successful completion of complex electrical tasks in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems including low voltage wiring, power tools, and industrial equipment.
- Work on renovation and construction projects involving electrical upgrades or new installations.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and programmable logic controllers to perform precise electrical work.
- Diagnose electrical issues using schematics and technical manuals; implement effective solutions efficiently.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians, plumbers, and carpenters during project execution.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced team members when necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience as an residential and or commercial electrician or journeyperson electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial, residential or industrial settings.
- Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, schematics, and control systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring, renovation projects, and construction environments.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and troubleshooting electrical issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of safety standards such as NEC codes or OSHA regulations related to electrical work is preferred.
- Additional handyman experience or general renovation skills are considered advantageous but not mandatory. This position offers an opportunity for experienced electricians to apply their skills in diverse projects while maintaining high safety standards and quality workmanship.
