Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, accurately handling transactions, and supporting food preparation and sanitation efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and cashiering, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and food safety. Responsibilities
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Process payments through cash handling and credit card transactions
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
- Assist with food preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve multiple tables promptly
- Support kitchen staff with basic food prep when needed
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and service stations according to sanitation standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently during high-volume periods
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service delivery
- Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are a plus but not required
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift light loads as needed
