Overview:
The Room Attendant is assigned to clean a certain number of rooms each day, depending on business levels. This position requires a great memory for detail, as the rooms at The Royal Hotel are designed with materials that need careful upkeep, and there are many amenities for the guest in each room. Upon walking into the room, each guest should feel like they’re the first.
Potential to extend seasonal contract.
Primary tasks:
· Cleans both vacant and occupied guest rooms as per daily task list as provided by the Housekeeping Manager
· Maintains all standards for cleanliness and organization
· Works in a safe and secure manner that minimizes the risk of injury and illness
· Depending on the scheduled shift, may also perform deep-cleaning duties, turndown service, pick-up service, room inspections and laundry services
· Responsible for properly stocking all necessary items in their carts and closets and disposing of all garbage and lost and found materials as per hotel policy
· Assist the housepeople when business levels dictate as per instructions from the Housekeeping Manager
· Completes housekeeping-related special projects as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager
· Greets guests in a warm, friendly manner and assists with all guest requests, either directly or by passing them along to the appropriate department
Qualifications:
Relevant education and work experience will definitely contribute to your appeal as a candidate. However, demonstrating a natural aptitude for the tasks outlined above in conjunction with values that align with ours are the primary drivers of our hiring decisions.
