The Cambie Malone’s Group
Reports to: Operations Manager
Location: Vancouver, BC // hybrid, with 2+ days/week in office + regular venue visits
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
Compensation: $60,000–$70,000/year
The Cambie Malone’s Group is home to some of Vancouver’s most recognizable hospitality spaces, including The Cambie, Malone’s Taphouse, 515 Bar, Take Out Shack, and our hostel properties.
Our venues are busy, social, personality-filled, and constantly moving. We need our marketing to feel the same: current, sharp, fast, fun, and connected to what is actually happening on the floor.
We’re bringing more of our creative, digital, and social work in-house, and we’re looking for someone who can help make our brands feel more alive across every touchpoint: online, in venue, and in the community.
This is a hands-on creative role for someone who likes variety and likes seeing their work out in the real world.
One day you might be designing a poster for a weekend event, updating a menu, filming a quick Reel at one of the venues, refreshing a website page, and helping troubleshoot why the office printer is acting possessed.
This role is part designer, part content creator, part digital operator, and part “make it happen” person.
We’re not looking for someone who wants to sit in a silo and wait for perfect briefs. We’re looking for someone local, accessible, organized, creative, and comfortable jumping between brands, venues, deadlines, and priorities.
If you like hospitality, move quickly, have good taste, and want your work to actually be seen by guests the same week you create it, this could be a great fit.
-
Create print and digital assets for all TCMG locations, including posters, menus, flyers, signage, event graphics, table tents, banners, merch, email graphics, social assets, QR/menu materials, and branded collateral.
-
Keep each venue’s brand clear, consistent, and distinct. The Cambie should not feel like Malone’s, and Malone’s should not feel like 515.
-
Support quick-turn creative needs for promotions, events, seasonal campaigns, and operational updates.
-
Coordinate with external print and creative vendors for larger projects, including quotes, proofs, approvals, timelines, and delivery.
-
Keep brand assets, templates, photos, fonts, files, and old creative properly organized so we are not constantly hunting through someone’s desktop from 2019.
-
Own the day-to-day social presence across TCMG venues.
-
Plan and schedule content calendars that keep events, promos, food/drink features, and venue moments visible and on time.
-
Capture photo and short-form video content on-site for Reels, TikTok, Stories, and organic social.
-
Track what is working through native analytics and help the team make smarter content decisions.
-
Keep venue websites current with accurate menus, hours, events, promotions, images, and landing pages.
-
Make updates through our CMS, such as Webflow, WordPress, Squarespace, or similar platforms.
-
Maintain basic SEO hygiene and make sure event listings, Google profiles, menu platforms, and third-party pages stay accurate.
-
Flag website or digital issues early and coordinate with vendors when something needs deeper technical support.
-
Work closely with Operations, venue managers, and leadership to turn ideas into real, on-brand assets.
-
Use Slack and project boards to keep work organized and visible.
-
Manage competing priorities across multiple venues without everything becoming last-minute chaos.
-
Build strong relationships with the venue teams so the marketing actually reflects what is happening in the business.
-
4+ years of experience across graphic design, digital marketing, content creation, or a similar in-house creative role.
-
Strong design skills across print, digital, and social.
-
Confident with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
-
Comfortable using modern tools like Canva, CapCut, scheduling platforms, AI-assisted design/editing tools, and mobile-first content workflows.
-
Hands-on social media experience, including content creation, short-form video, posting, scheduling, and basic analytics.
-
Comfortable updating websites through a CMS.
-
Comfortable working with venue teams, vendors, managers, and external partners.
-
Local to Metro Vancouver and able to work from the office and visit venues regularly.
-
Hospitality, nightlife, events, restaurant, retail, or lifestyle brand experience.
-
Photography or videography skills.
-
A portfolio that shows both polished design work and scrappy real-world content.
-
Experience with email marketing platforms.
-
Basic motion graphics or animation.
-
Experience managing Google Business Profiles and review platforms.
-
Comfort working in a fast-moving, imperfect, “we need this by Friday” environment.
In this role, success means:
-
Our venues look more current, consistent, and active across digital and physical touchpoints.
-
Social content feels more alive, local, and connected to what is happening in the venues.
-
Promotions, menus, events, and website updates go live on time.
-
Managers know who to go to for creative and digital support.
-
We rely less on chasing external contractors for day-to-day work.
-
Creative requests are tracked, prioritized, and followed through.
-
The team feels like marketing is closer to the business, not sitting outside of it.
This is a role with real variety, real ownership, and real visibility.
You will not be making assets that disappear into a folder. Your work will show up on walls, menus, feeds, websites, events, guest experiences, and across some of Vancouver’s best-known hospitality spaces.
You’ll get to build the creative rhythm for multiple brands, work closely with the people running the venues, and help shape how TCMG shows up in the city.
If you want a creative role that is hands-on, social-first, local, and never boring, we’d love to meet you.
