Our client is one of Canada's leading general contractors, delivering complex institutional, commercial, and infrastructure projects across the country. Due to continued growth and several major project awards, they are looking to add experienced Project Managers to their Edmonton team.
This is an opportunity to lead landmark institutional and commercial projects ranging from $30M to over $100M, including new schools, fire halls, and other large-scale public projects.
- Lead the successful delivery of large ICI construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
- Provide leadership to project teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and overall project execution strategies.
- Administer prime contracts and negotiate, award, and manage subcontract agreements.
- Monitor project financial performance, including cost control, billings, cash flow, forecasting, and identifying revenue opportunities.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly project reports for senior leadership.
- Collaborate closely with Superintendents, consultants, architects, owners, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor and develop project team members through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with company safety programs, policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering exceptional project outcomes.
- 10+ years of progressive construction industry experience.
- 5+ years in a Project Manager role with a General Contractor.
- Proven experience managing ICI projects valued at $30M+.
- Strong background delivering institutional and commercial construction projects.
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or another related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and MS Project; experience with Viewpoint Project Management is considered an asset.
