Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management, with a passion for creating innovative dishes and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an opportunity to showcase leadership skills within a dynamic hospitality environment, ensuring efficient kitchen operations and excellent service to our guests.
Final remuneration offer will depend on candidate's experience. Staff lodging available.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation
- Develop and update menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures at all times
- Coordinate food preparation and cooking activities to meet service timelines
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage costs effectively
- Lead by example in food service, demonstrating professionalism, leadership, and teamwork
- Monitor cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen area
- Serve as a key point of contact for restaurant management regarding culinary operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management within the food industry
- Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling procedures
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional skills in food presentation and culinary innovation
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred; hospitality background is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage kitchen operations smoothly while maintaining high standards of quality and service
- Passion for the food industry with a commitment to excellence in serving guests
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
