Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient comfort, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a focus on general dentistry, including orthodontics. Prior experience with dental software such as Cleardent is highly valued, along with familiarity in dental assisting procedures and medical terminology.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including exams, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs (CAD experience is a plus)
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort
- Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and updating patient information
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards
- Support orthodontic procedures as needed, including appliance adjustments and patient education
Skills
- Certified as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure
- Proficiency in dental software platforms such Cleardent
- Experience in orthodontics, pediatrics, or general dentistry preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques and infection control practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
- Familiarity with CAD for digital impressions or restorations is advantageous
- Experience working as a dental receptionist or in customer service within a healthcare setting is a plus
