ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
Duck Bay School is located in the community of Duck Bay nestled on the western shore of Lake Winnipegosis, a one-hour drive north of Dauphin. The school and community are proud of their Metis culture and heritage. The school has a student body of approximately 80 Nursery to Grade 9 students (plus Adult Education).

WHAT YOU BRING
-
Bachelor of Education Degree and preferably a Master's Degree in Education or related field and valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)

Manitoba Inclusive Education Teaching certificate or certification in progress

A sound knowledge of provincial curricula

Previous teaching experience and previous experience as a Resource Teacher

Excellent understanding of current Manitoba curricula and differentiated instruction

Knowledge and training in formal and informal assessment

Familiar with appropriate educational programming

Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life (considered an asset)

Experience working in a northern community (considered an asset)
