Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated AcroDance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about dance education, committed to student development, and experienced in teaching AcroDance to a variety of ages and skill levels.
This position involves teaching weekly AcroDance classes, preparing students for examinations, creating choreography for year-end performances, and contributing to a positive and supportive school culture.
Responsibilities
- Plan and teach engaging, progressive AcroDance classes for students of various ages and abilities.
- Instruct proper technique, safe skill execution, flexibility, strength development, and injury prevention practices.
- Prepare and guide students through AcroDance examinations and assessments.
- Choreograph and rehearse routines for year-end performances.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment where students can build confidence and achieve their goals.
- Provide individualized feedback and support to help students progress successfully.
- Maintain effective classroom management and uphold school standards.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and faculty to enhance the overall student experience.
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and guardians regarding progress and expectations.
Requirements
- Availability on Monday evenings.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring young dancers.
- Previous experience teaching AcroDance.
- Demonstrated ability to progress students through a structured syllabus across multiple age groups and skill levels.
- Strong knowledge of safe skill progressions, spotting techniques, and injury prevention.
- Experience with lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude.
Compensation is negotiable based on experience.
