Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Program Coordinator to oversee and facilitate various programs within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in project management and administrative functions. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by coordinating initiatives, managing teams, and ensuring the successful execution of programs aligned with organizational goals. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director, staff, participants, and community partners, to foster a collaborative environment and drive program success.
Duties
- · ensure programs offered are running smoothly.
- · be responsible for the scheduling of non-administrative staff.
- · be responsible for the scheduling of program participants, ensuring suitable matches are made for the participant, instructor, and horse availability.
- · facilitate New Rider Intake Assessments.
- · train volunteers and instructors with on going mentoring.
- · create or enhance programs offered through organization.
- · attend specific meetings in the community to promote existing programs and identify opportunities for program development.
- · identify and apply for suitable grants for all areas relating to PARDS programming and operations.
- · develop program descriptions including resources required, target client base, program benefits and desired outcomes with identified measurements.
- · select and facilitate schooling of program horses.
- · develop and implement schooling schedules and ongoing suitability assessments.
- · schedule and oversee regular schooling and exercise programs for PARDS Equine Staff.
- · ensure all program horses are appropriately trains and safe for therapeutic use.
- · plans programs with Specialists
- · on board new horses, lease agreements, bill of sales, trial paperwork
- · teach groups of up to 4 riders.
- · supervise safety of the lessons.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience managing teams or projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated project management expertise including planning, execution, and evaluation of programs.
- Leadership experience with the ability to motivate teams and foster professional development.
- Administrative experience involving scheduling, documentation, budgeting, or compliance tasks.
- Recruiting experience for hiring or onboarding new staff or volunteers.
- Teaching or training background that supports educational or capacity-building activities.

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
