Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook for the closing shift to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role is essential in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests and supporting the overall operation of the restaurant during evening hours.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including equipment, utensils, and workstations
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation before serving
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy closing hours
- Follow all food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure customer satisfaction
- Assist in inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supplies needed
- Closing Procedures including cleaning of equipment, dishes, Sweep and Mop, Garbage removal etc
Experience
- Prior experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and kitchen operations is essential
- Experience in meal preparation and food industry standards will be advantageous
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in food safety practices is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently during evening hours with a focus on quality and safety standards
Pay: From $16.75 per hour
