About the Role
Join Orca Spirit Adventures as our Part-Time Bookkeeper. This remote role supports the Finance & Operations Manager with day-to-day accounting, tax compliance, reconciliations, and financial reporting while offering flexible work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
· Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
· Process EFTs, e-Transfers and cheque payments.
· Bank, credit card and merchant reconciliations.
· Journal entries and month-end reconciliations.
· Prepare and file GST returns and other required tax remittances.
· Support payroll processing (ADP experience is an asset).
· Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online.
· Support budgeting, financial reporting and audits.
· Vendor communications and payment inquiries.
· Other bookkeeping duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience.
· QuickBooks Online proficiency.
· Experience preparing GST returns.
· Strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills.
· Excellent organizational and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently.
· Accounting or Bookkeeping diploma is an asset.
· Tourism or hospitality experience is an asset.
