The Press Operator is responsible for safely operating production equipment and supporting daily manufacturing activities in accordance with company safety standards. This role ensures production tasks are completed accurately and on time to meet customer delivery requirements, while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The Press Operator is also responsible for completing required production documentation and following established safety and operational procedures.
- Operate press and related production equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow work orders and production schedules to meet daily output requirements
- Perform routine visual inspections to ensure product quality
- Complete production documentation accurately, including work orders and travel sheets
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures and report hazards immediately
- Ensure molds, tools, and materials are returned to designated storage locations
- Maintain housekeeping, 5S, and TPM standards during each shift
- Wear required PPE and comply with all safety requirements
- Support training and onboarding of new operators as assigned
- Perform opening, closing, and general production support duties as required
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment preferred
- Knowledge of basic production processes and equipment operation
- Understanding of workplace safety requirements, including WHMIS and PPE use
- Ability to follow procedures, work instructions, and schedules
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and reliability
