Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Home Care Operations Advisor to provide guidance on agency operations, policies, procedures, and industry best practices. This flexible, contract-based role is ideal for an experienced home care professional who enjoys mentoring, problem-solving, and helping organizations strengthen their operational foundation.
The Advisor will work closely with ownership to review policies, procedures, and operational processes, as well as identify opportunities for improvement, and provide practical guidance based on Ontario home care industry standards and best practices.
This role is well suited for former Directors of Care, Clinical Managers, Operations Managers, experienced RNs/RPNs, or other home care professionals with leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Review & Guidance
- Review internal policies, procedures, and operational documents.
- Review client and employee documentation and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Identify operational gaps and suggest practical solutions.
- Provide guidance on Ontario home care industry standards and best practices.
- Assist with developing and improving operational workflows and processes.
Advisory Support
- Provide recommendations related to quality assurance, documentation, caregiver onboarding, and operational efficiency.
- Offer guidance on day-to-day operational questions as needed.
- Participate in virtual meetings to discuss recommendations and agency initiatives.
- Share industry knowledge and practical insights to support ongoing organizational development.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Ontario home care.
- Previous experience in a leadership, supervisory, or management role within a home care organization.
- Experience reviewing or developing policies, procedures, and operational documentation.
- Strong understanding of private home care operations in Ontario.
- Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), or equivalent healthcare leadership experience is an asset.
- Experience with quality assurance, compliance, or operational improvement is an asset.
