As a key member of Compugen’s growing Network Cabling Division, the
Supervisor, Structured Cabling & Infrastructure Services will be responsible for developing accurate project estimates, creating technical solutions, and supporting sales and operations teams in the planning and deployment of structured cabling systems. This hybrid role will lead a team of technicians and handle pricing, technical evaluation, and solution design to support both pre-sales efforts and post-sale implementation.
The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of cabling standards, hands-on installation experience, and the ability to analyze blueprints, specifications, and site requirements. You will help shape scalable, efficient structured cabling solutions that align with Compugen’s commitment to delivering exceptional IT infrastructure across Canada.
Estimating & Pre-Sales Support
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for structured cabling projects (CAT5e/6/6A, fiber, etc.)
- Perform site assessments and interpret blueprints, floorplans, and specs
- Create project scope summaries, labour/resource requirements, and BOMs
- Respond to RFPs and assist sales teams with quoting and proposal creation
- Ensure all estimates are aligned with industry standards and Compugen guidelines
Technical Design & Consultation
- Recommend structured cabling solutions based on customer needs and environments
- Provide technical advice to clients, partners, and internal teams
- Collaborate with vendors and distributors to ensure certified solution designs
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of materials, equipment, and installation practices
Project Handoff & Implementation Support
- Work with project managers and technicians during project setup
- Review SOWs, drawings, and handoff documentation for technical accuracy
- Support job site technical questions and clarifications
- Participate in quality control checks and ensure test documentation meets standards
Leadership
- Lead, coordinate, and support a team of technicians to deliver work safely, efficiently, and to established quality standards.
- 3–5+ years of experience in structured cabling (estimation, design, or installation)
- Strong knowledge of BICSI, TIA/EIA standards, and industry best practices
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents and floor plans
- Experience with cabling estimating software (e.g., Accubid, McCormick, Bluebeam, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel locally for site visits and assessments
Preferred Qualifications
- RCDD certification or equivalent structured cabling accreditation
- Hands-on experience using Fluke DSX cable certification tools
- Familiarity with fiber optics splicing and testing practices
- Experience in commercial, enterprise, or multi-site cabling environments
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Visio for basic markup and layout support

- Cable Test Equipment: Fluke DSX, OTDR, Light Source/Power Meter
- Communication: Microsoft Teams, Outlook, SharePoint
