Dispatcher will assist in coordinating and optimizing trucking operations to ensure timely deliveries and efficient fleet management. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to learn the ins and outs of the transportation industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist in scheduling and dispatching drivers for local and international deliveries
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor truck movements and provide real-time updates to customers when required.
- Help track and manage driver logs, hours of service (HOS), and compliance with regulations.
- Assist in resolving any logistical issues or delays that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including manifests and delivery confirmations.
- Support senior dispatchers and operations managers with administrative tasks as needed
- Assist with customs documents, entries and permitting
- Monday to Friday (7:00am - 4:00pm) and on-call weekends(alternating)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in logistics or a related field is a plus).
- Basic understanding of transportation/logistics is preferred but not required (training will be provided).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, email, etc.
- Willingness to learn dispatch software and industry regulations
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-player mindset.

Pay: $19.00-$30.00 per hour
