As a 1st Year Parts Apprentice Technician, you'll receive hands-on training from an experienced team while learning every aspect of a modern dealership Parts Department.

What You'll Learn
As a Parts Apprentice, you'll build the skills needed to become a Journeyperson Parts Technician by learning:
- Shipping and receiving procedures
- Parts picking, staging, and packaging
- Inventory control and cycle counts
- Heavy-duty truck parts identification
- Warehouse organization and material handling
- Safe forklift operation (training provided where applicable)
- Computerized inventory and dealership management systems
- Customer service and parts counter support
- Warranty and core return procedures
- Best practices for warehouse safety and organization
You'll work alongside experienced Parts Technicians who are committed to helping you succeed in your apprenticeship and career.
Your Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming inventory
- Pick and stage parts accurately for technicians and customers
- Assist with shipping outgoing parts and warranty returns
- Maintain accurate inventory and participate in cycle counts
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe
- Learn heavy-duty truck parts and product knowledge
- Assist Parts Advisors in locating and supplying parts
- Support internal Service and Sales departments
- Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers
- Participate in dealership training and apprenticeship development
- Support continuous improvement initiatives including 5S and Elite Certification standards
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Is interested in becoming a certified Parts Technician
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys learning new skills
- Is reliable, punctual, and takes pride in their work
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Has strong attention to detail and stays organized
- Is comfortable using computers and learning new software
- Can safely lift up to 60 lbs.
- Is comfortable being on their feet throughout the day
- Has a valid driver's licence
- Forklift experience is an asset but not required—we'll train the right person
