Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 3rd Year Apprentice - Service Electrician to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals progressing through their electrical apprenticeship, with a focus on service and maintenance in diverse residential and commercial environments. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced electricians, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to the successful completion of electrical projects. Responsibilities
- Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in commercial and residential settings.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to guide installation and troubleshooting tasks.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and low-voltage testing equipment safely and effectively.
- Support the setup of electrical components according to specifications and safety standards.
- Help in performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
- Collaborate with the team to complete projects efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain organized work areas, tools, and materials throughout each project phase.
Experience
- Prior experience or exposure to service electrician work is preferred but not required; relevant electrical experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprint reading, low-voltage systems, and basic electrical concepts is highly desirable.
- Experience working with construction teams or in similar field environments is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions carefully and learn new skills quickly.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail are essential for success in this apprenticeship role.
