Full-Time Career Nanny – River Heights
Nanny On The Go is seeking a warm, experienced, and reliable full-time nanny for a wonderful family in River Heights.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with young children and is looking for a long-term position with a kind, relaxed family. The family is seeking a nanny who can become an important and trusted part of their son's life and potentially grow with their family in the future.
Their son will be turning two years old in January. He is described as a happy, calm, and easygoing little boy who enjoys exploring and being active.
Schedule
Monday to Friday
Approximately 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Full-time, guaranteed hours
Start date: November 2026
The family is generally flexible and respectful of the nanny's personal time. They do not expect frequent short-notice availability or schedule changes.
Responsibilities
The nanny's primary responsibility will be providing attentive, engaging, and nurturing care for their son.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate care
- Planning engaging activities and outings
- Encouraging active play and exploration
- Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child
- Preparing and organizing the child's meals
- Occasionally assisting with family meal preparation
- Driving the child to activities and outings as needed
- Following the family's established routines for meals and naps
- Maintaining clear and consistent communication with the parents
- Supporting the child's independence while maintaining appropriate boundaries
The family values an active lifestyle and prefers little to no screen time during the day. They enjoy getting out of the house and exploring the community, and a zoo membership will be available for outings.
No general housekeeping is required, as the family has separate housekeeping support.
The Ideal Nanny
The family is looking for someone who is:
- An experienced nanny or childcare professional
- Ideally interested in nannying as a long-term career
- Experienced caring for toddlers
- Comfortable caring for newborns in the future, as the family plans to grow
- Warm, calm, patient, and nurturing
- Reliable and dependable
- An excellent communicator
- Comfortable following established routines and family guidelines
- Confident maintaining calm and respectful boundaries with children
- Active and enjoys planning outings and activities
- Comfortable with a relaxed and respectful parenting style
- Comfortable with a small dog
The ideal nanny will respect the family's parenting approach while feeling confident caring for and engaging with their child independently.
Driving & Travel
A valid driver's licence and comfortable driving experience are required. The nanny will occasionally drive the child to activities and outings. The family will provide a car seat and gas allowance.
The ideal candidate should also hold a valid passport and be open to occasional travel with the family. When travelling, airfare and accommodations will be covered, and applicable overtime will be paid.
Compensation
$20–$28 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and employment arrangement.
The family is currently considering different employment arrangements, and the final compensation and employment structure will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
