Support multiple functions within the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reporting support.
Float between accounting tasks to assist with workload balancing, coverage, and departmental priorities.
Process invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and efficiently.
Assist with posting vehicle deals, sales, and service transactions in dealership accounting systems.
Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and general ledger accounts.
Support payroll processing, data entry, and payroll-related reporting.
Assist with employee onboarding support, including documentation, file setup, and coordination with internal departments.
Maintain employee records and support basic onboarding administrative tasks as required.
Support month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Maintain accurate financial and employee records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with internal policies.
Identify discrepancies and support resolution across accounting and payroll-related matters.
Collaborate with the management team and internal departments to ensure smooth operational flow.
Provide general administrative tasks and office support as required.
1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in an automotive dealership environment is a must.
Exposure to payroll and/or onboarding support tasks is an asset.
Strong understanding of core accounting functions, including AP, AR, reconciliations, and journal entries.
Ability to adapt quickly and support multiple functions across departments.
Experience with dealership systems (ERA-Ignite is an asset).
High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general office/accounting software.
Professional, reliable, and team-oriented with a willingness to support wherever needed.
Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Scarborough, ON M1B 5V7 or plan to relocate before starting work.
