Meraki Music is growing, and we’re looking for a passionate piano instructor to inspire the next generation of musicians in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. If you love teaching, enjoy working with kids and families, and want a flexible, creative role, you’ll feel right at home with us.
This is a mobile teaching position, meaning you will travel to students’ homes. All students are located within close proximity. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
What We’re Looking For
- Fun, patient, and positive energy that makes lessons engaging
- Minimum RCM Grade 8 in Piano or a Bachelor’s Degree in Music (or equivalent)
- At least 1 year of teaching experience
- A genuine passion for working with children and beginner to intermediate students
- Local to Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows (or nearby)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
- Ability to create personalized, engaging lesson plans
- Bonus: Ability to teach additional instruments (voice, guitar, etc.)
What You’ll Do
- Teach one-on-one piano lessons in students’ homes
- Tailor lessons to each student’s goals and learning style
- Use creative teaching methods (games, movement, storytelling, etc.)
- Track student progress and communicate regularly with parents
- Prepare students for recitals, performances, and exams
