We are looking for an Interior Designer / Design Assistant with strong design sense, solid execution skills, and a creative mindset. The role will mainly involve commercial interior design projects, with some residential projects as well.
Requirements:
- Strong interior design taste and spatial understanding
- Must be proficient in SketchUp or other 3D modeling software
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD
- Able to quickly develop layout plans, 3D models, and design drawings based on design direction
- Able to understand reference images and design concepts, and further develop them into complete design ideas
- Basic understanding of materials, lighting, millwork, wall details, ceiling design, and interior details
- Able to think proactively, not just follow instructions
- Creative mindset and willingness to learn and try new design tools and workflows
- Able to keep up with industry trends and use AI tools or other new technologies to improve design efficiency
- Commercial interior design experience is preferred
- Experience with D5 Render / 3ds Max / V-Ray / Enscape / Lumion is preferred
- Experience with Photoshop / InDesign / Illustrator / Canva is a plus
- Experience with AI-assisted design, image generation, concept development, or content creation is a plus
- Ability to assist with basic graphic design or social media content is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Assist with commercial and residential interior design projects
- Help develop space planning, layout options, elevations, and design details
- Create SketchUp / 3D models based on design direction
- Prepare and revise design drawings in AutoCAD
- Assist with materials, furniture, lighting, soft furnishings, and design presentations
- Use AI tools or other new technologies when appropriate to improve concept development, presentation quality, and design efficiency
- Coordinate with rendering teams by preparing models, reference images, material notes, and rendering instructions
- Assist with client presentation files and marketing materials
