Sales & Marketing Specialist

YOU ARE:
You are a sales professional with a proven track record of B2B sales success as a Sales & Marketing Specialist, and wanting to work in a fast paced, innovative, and rapidly growing company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Duties
- Identify and qualify prospective clients through outbound calls, emails, networking, and events
- Manage and grow a pipeline of leads through the full sales cycle
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand client needs and recommend IT solutions (managed services, cloud, cybersecurity, etc.)
- Create and present proposals tailored to client goals
- Negotiate pricing and close new business deals
- Maintain accurate CRM data and provide regular pipeline reports
- Build long-term relationships with clients to drive retention and upsell opportunities
Marketing Duties
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns across email, social media, and digital channels
- Write and design basic content (emails, social posts, case studies, landing pages, etc.)
- Coordinate and attend local events, trade shows, or webinars to promote the company
- Monitor and report on campaign performance metrics (open rates, leads, conversions)
- Maintain and update the company’s website and social media presence
- Collaborate with leadership and technical teams to align marketing with business strategy
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Sales Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills – ability to explain technical services in plain language
- Confidence in presenting and building rapport with clients from diverse industries
- Persuasive negotiation skills with a focus on solution-selling
- Ability to manage time, priorities, and sales targets effectively
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Keap, Salesforce, etc)
Marketing Skills
- Basic graphic design and content creation skills (Canva, Adobe, or similar)
- Understanding of digital marketing tools (Google Ads, LinkedIn, SEO)
- Social media management experience (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
- Analytical mindset – able to interpret campaign data and make recommendations
General Abilities
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a “hunter” mindset for sales
- Quick learner with the ability to grasp IT service concepts
- Team player who works well with technical and operational staff
- High level of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally (if required)
REQUIREMENTS:
3 years previous outside sales experience
Proven experience influencing top decision makers
Proven successful negotiation experience
Experience with providing proposals and contracts
Proven past results of actively growing and managing an account base or territory.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the IT services or managed services industry
- Graphic design or content writing experience
- Familiarity with Google Ads, SEO, or digital advertising
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or Communications
