· Enjoy variability in your day to day, with some days in the store and other on-site meeting clients
· Able to learn and retain new skills
· Understanding the client’s lifestyle and life stage needs, and how the client will use their backyards
Roles and Responsibilities
· Greet and make clients feel comfortable, ask questions to understand their wants and needs
· Match what you know about the client’s wants to the features and benefits of our products
· Learn and understand the features and benefits of the Backyard Canada products
· Complete detailed quotes for clients
· Liaise with clients and Backyard Canada partners to quote work beyond the BYC scope
· Use CRM (client relationship management system) to actively maintain and grow relationship with clients met in person or online
· Follow up more times than you might naturally be comfortable with, recognizing that people are busy, and discretionary purchases can get lost in the priorities of life
· Properly set expectation on delivery time line
· Determine whether delivery of the product will be simple with easy access or may require a site visit to determine method of installation
· Create urgency of purchase and ask for the sale
· Self -motivated, highly collaborative and a strong team player
· A valid driver’s license
· General store duties
Preferred Experience
· Experience selling high cost, discretionary items
· Customer service experience also acceptable
· Retail sales
· Car, Jewelry, Furniture or Appliance Sales
· Business or marketing student
Compensation
