Job Summary
We are seeking multiple general shop duties people to join our manufacturing team on our growing Monday-Thursday 4/10s shift that runs from 12pm-10:30 pm. Although this is an entry level position, it has oppurtunities for the right person to grow into running machines and a career.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in general labour duties, warehouse, factories and general labour. The job requires buffing, grinding, tapping, packaging, assembly, hardware insertion and running the graining machine, however we will hire the right candidate and train those showing interest in the position. You just have to be willing to learn.
If you have a great atitude and want to learn something new, the position is for you. It has an oppurtunity to grow into much more for the right person, you just have to show that initiative. Mechancial aptitude is an asset in the role as you will be using power tools such as hand grinders, the graining machine, and various other deburring equipment. Those with experience can expect to start with higher compensation and move up quickly. If you dont have experience expect to start at the entry level wage but can grow quickly.
Duties
- Operate grainer, buffing wheels, hand grinders, oribitals.
- Tapping, packaging, assembly duties.
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to meet the desired finish once trained.
- Count and manage ERP system log ins.
- Perform routine clean up on equipment and area to ensure saftey.
- Measure materials using calipers and other measuring tools for accuracy.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in a labour role such as warehouse, or factory is an asset.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and technical drawings is an asset but not required.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers is an asset.
- Running mechanical equipment is an asset due to safety training but not required.
