Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to provide essential support to individuals in assisted living, nursing homes, and home care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensuring nutritional requirements are met
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning of personal spaces and common areas to maintain a safe environment
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to supervising healthcare professionals
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to prevent injury
- Follow all safety guidelines and infection control procedures, including dementia care protocols when applicable
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia care is advantageous
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is a plus
- Demonstrated caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to client needs
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
