After-School & Summer Camp Instructor
Location: Richmond, BC
Position Type: Part-Time / Seasonal
About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and energetic instructors to join our After-School and Summer Camp programs in Richmond. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and creating engaging educational and recreational experiences.
Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities for children and youth.
- Lead educational, recreational, arts, sports, and team-building activities.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Supervise participants during program hours, breaks, and transitions.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and program staff.
- Assist with program setup, cleanup, and administrative tasks as required.
- Follow organizational policies and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or youth in educational, recreational, or camp settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead groups and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
Preferred Background
- Education, Early Childhood Education, Recreation, Child and Youth Care, or related fields.
- Experience teaching arts, STEM, sports, leadership, languages, or other enrichment programs is an asset.
- University and college students are encouraged to apply.
Schedule
After-School Program (Starting in September)
- Weekday afternoons and evenings.
Summer Camp Program
- Full-day or half-day shifts during July and August.
