We are seeking a dynamic and reliable Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will contribute to our commitment to efficient logistics and exceptional service. Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 trucks to transport freight over long and short distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload Gravel trucks, Clam dump, Lowbed, Truck and pup
- Bonus to those who have experience in more than one above.
- skilled operators move to the front of the line.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, including brakes, lights, tires, and other critical systems to guarantee roadworthiness
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs for compliance purposes
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep trucks in optimal condition is a bonus
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to company policies
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with freight transportation or heavy equipment operation
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and securement techniques
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor mechanical issues
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to safety
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, perform inspections, and work in various weather conditions

Pay: $33.00-$41.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 70.0 per week
