Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Subcontractor to support various maintenance, cleaning, and facilities management projects. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work independently on diverse tasks that require attention to detail, efficiency, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience with tools, custodial services, and customer service, ensuring high standards of quality and safety in all assignments.
Responsibilities
- Perform general facilities maintenance including repairs, cleaning, and upkeep of commercial spaces
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for tasks such as repairs, installations, or maintenance work
- Conduct commercial cleaning duties to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of client facilities
- Manage heavy lifting requirements safely and efficiently during project tasks
- Maintain clear communication with clients and team members regarding project status and issues
- Adhere to safety protocols and proper use of equipment at all times
- Manage time effectively to complete projects within scheduled deadlines
- Assist with custodial duties as needed to support client satisfaction and operational efficiency
Experience
- Must have WCB
- Must have Registered Corporation
- Must have general liability insuranc.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or custodial services is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment is essential
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or related fields is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently while handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or movement during work shifts
