Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring a smooth kitchen operation. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and cooking, with a passion for delivering excellent food service in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Cook menu items with precision and consistency, adhering to food safety guidelines
- Assist in meal preparation during busy service hours, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
- Support the kitchen team by restocking supplies and assisting with inventory management
- Ensure all dishes meet quality standards before serving to customers
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain a positive and efficient work environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation
- Understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings if needed
- Basic understanding of serving protocols and customer service principles is a plus
