Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Landscape Gardener to complete landscape work at a country property.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, horticulture, and creating beautiful, sustainable landscapes. This role involves maintaining and enhancing various outdoor spaces through hands-on gardening and landscape management. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions and possess a strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality results.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various gardening activities
- Apply horticultural practices to promote healthy plant growth and landscape aesthetics
- Assist with landscape design projects and implement planting plans as directed
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure all equipment is properly stored after use
- Monitor landscape health, identify pests or diseases, and take appropriate action
Requirements
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and general outdoor maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of gardening, horticulture principles, and plant care techniques
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently in outdoor environments
- Strong physical stamina for manual labor including digging, lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license is a plus but not mandatory. Must be driven to and picked up from site.
- Prior experience in landscaping or related field is advantageous but not required
