Summary
Join MDR Deliveries as a Straight Truck Driver. In this role, you will be vital in ensuring our local and regional freight reaches its destination safely and efficiently, reflecting our commitment to supporting the community through reliable transportation. We are looking for someone available at least 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Operate straight trucks and large freight vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts when necessary.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight to local businesses.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients.
- Support the operation of heavy equipment as needed.
- Qualifications
- Valid class 5 driver’s license .
- At least 3 years experience in commercial driving and freight delivery.
- Ability to operate liftgate and heavy equipment.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to transportation.
- Good physical condition for loading/unloading cargo.
- 5 years clean drivers abstract
- Pass a criminal record check
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
