Global Pet Foods Labrador City is looking for a dependable and enthusiastic Key Holder to join our team for the summer season, with the potential for ongoing part-time employment into the fall for the right candidate.

Applicants must be available to work throughout the entire summer season. Preference may be given to candidates who are interested in continuing employment into the fall.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers and their pets
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations based on pets' nutritional and wellness needs
- Operate the cash register and process customer transactions
- Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain product displays
- Receive and unpack deliveries (must be able to lift up to 40 lbs)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
- Open and/or close the store as scheduled (Key Holder responsibilities)
- Work independently and assist with daily store operations
Requirements
- Must be available to work throughout the entire summer season
- Availability to continue working into the fall is considered a strong asset
- Minimum 1 year of retail or customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of animals, pet nutrition, and pet products is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable, dependable, and comfortable working independently
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- First Aid certification is considered an asset but is not required
- Must be able to reliably commute to Labrador City, NL
Availability Requirement
Key Holders must be available for a variety of shifts during store operating hours:
- Saturday & Sunday: 9:45 AM – 6:15 PM
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 9:45 AM – 8:15 PM
Shifts may range from 4 to 10.5 hours and can include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must have flexible availability and be comfortable working a variety of shift lengths based on business needs.
