Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of electrical systems, the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, blueprint reading, and construction practices. This position requires the ability to work independently, supervise apprentices when required, and complete projects safely and efficiently.
Duties
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
- Install conduit, wiring, panels, lighting fixtures, devices, and distribution equipment
- Identify electrical faults and diagnose system deficiencies
- Ensure all work complies with Ontario Electrical Safety Code and site safety requirements
- Coordinate and work collaboratively with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades
- Supervise and support apprentices as required
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and efficiently
- Participate in renovation, service, and new construction projects
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Valid 309A Electrician License
- Commercial and/or industrial electrical experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents
- Experience with conduit installation and wiring methods
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Working at Heights, WHMIS, Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps, and Aerial Platform certifications are required
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
