Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Handyman/woman to join our facilities maintenance team. This role involves performing a variety of repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance tasks across manufacturing and facility operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and welding skills, along with experience in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and CMMS systems. Leadership and customer service abilities are essential for ensuring smooth operations and supporting team collaboration. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues to minimize downtime
- Perform welding repairs and fabrications as needed to maintain equipment integrity
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and PLC programming for troubleshooting and repairs
- Operate CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management
- Supervise or assist with maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Lead small teams or coordinate tasks during maintenance activities
- Support facilities maintenance including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and structural repairs
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with mechanical knowledge
- Strong electrical experience including working with PLCs and schematics
- Welding skills required; certification is a plus
- Familiarity with CMMS systems for work order management
- Supervising or leadership experience preferred
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges
- Strong communication skills in English for effective teamwork and documentation
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to industrial maintenance environments
- Customer service orientation with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Pay: $17.85-$22.00 per hour
