Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop hospitality skills in a fast-paced food industry environment, with responsibilities that include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash and process payments accurately, including cashiering duties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in setting up tables, refilling supplies, and maintaining cleanliness of the dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Manage time efficiently during busy periods to serve multiple tables effectively
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, specials, and restaurant policies
Skills
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills accurately
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members
- Experience in upselling menu items to increase sales opportunities
- Hospitality mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction and positive guest interactions
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous but not mandatory
