Overview
We are seeking 3 dynamic and experienced Banquet Captains to oversee and coordinate banquet service operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidates will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and extensive food industry experience. As a Banquet Captain, you will ensure seamless execution of events, supervise staff, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and service quality. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise banquet service staff to ensure efficient and professional service during events
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for timely food preparation, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
- Oversee food handling, safety procedures, and proper presentation of food items
- Manage event setup, including arranging tables, linens, and necessary equipment to meet event specifications
- Oversee bars set ups and liquor sales
- Monitor service flow throughout the event, addressing any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Handle POS transactions accurately and submitting paperwork for invoicuing on a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hospitality standards at all times
- Collaborate with venue management to ensure smooth operations and guest experience excellence
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while providing leadership and support to team members
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in food service or restaurant management roles
- Extensive food industry background with knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and serving techniques
- Experience with POS systems
- Demonstrated leadership skills in team management, including training new staff
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally
- Familiarity with food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and restaurant operations
- Familiar with Liquor Licence regulations and service protocols
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is highly desirable,restaurant management roles
- Experience in overseeing large events or banquets is preferred but not required; leadership qualities are essential

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
