Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages accurately and efficiently, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner to enhance their overall experience
- Manage cash handling and POS transactions to ensure accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and ensure safety at all times
- Restock bar supplies promptly to meet customer demand during busy hours
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for food service or catering events when needed
- Uphold all food handling regulations and adhere to health department guidelines
- Utilize strong time management skills to balance multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Assist with banquet or catering setups as required, ensuring seamless service delivery
Skills
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining, nightclub, or banquet settings preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems for accurate transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, drink mixing ratios, and retail math calculations
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly and promoting responsible drinking practices
- Familiarity with food industry terminology and hospitality best practices
- Effective time management skills to handle busy service periods smoothly
- Knowledge of brewing techniques or beverage crafting is a plus
- Previous retail math experience helpful for inventory management and sales tracking
