Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our bustling bar. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food and beverage service, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily bar operations, ensuring efficient service delivery and adherence to company standards.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes related to bar menu items, maintaining quality and presentation.
- Manage POS transactions using Micros POS or similar systems, ensuring accurate cash handling and billing.
- Lead, train, and motivate staff members; conduct interviews and assist in hiring qualified team members.
- Monitor food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure exceptional customer service.
- Manage inventory levels of alcohol, beverages, and food supplies; place orders as needed.
- Enforce responsible alcohol service policies and verify guest identification.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including kitchen and serving stations.
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus, specials, and promotional events.
- Lead by example in hospitality standards, fostering a positive team environment focused on teamwork and leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in food service or restaurant management; hospitality leadership preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Experience with POS systems such as Profitek; cash handling expertise required.
- Background in food industry roles such as restaurant experience or hotel experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Leadership qualities with experience in team management and interviewing potential staff members.
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and hospitality best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
