The Role We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support our team through all phases of design and construction. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a fast-paced and collaborative practice.
What You’ll Do
- Assist senior staff and project managers in reviewing drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with code/standards
- Update and revise drawings based on team and client feedback
- Maintain drawing version control and file organization
- Act as a liaison between architects, consultants, contractors, and clients
- Ensure deadlines and milestones are met, and tasks are tracked in project schedules
- Prepare internal meeting notes and follow-up action items
- Prepare permit and submission packages for municipal approvals
- Track permit status and coordinate required revisions
- Ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code, zoning, and other regulations
- Support team members in day-to-day project tasks to ensure smooth workflow
- Organize project files and documentation for easy access and retrieval
- Assist in quality control, checking drawings for errors before submission or client review
- Monitor project timelines and flag any potential delays
- Help maintain project budgets and hours tracking if needed
- Ensure tasks are progressing in line with project objectives
- Attend site visits to document progress or issues
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Architectural Technology, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in an architectural firm
- Strong Revit skills (required) and proficiency in AutoCAD
- Good working knowledge of Ontario Building Code (OBC), the National Building Code (NBC) and experience preparing permit drawings (Canada experience preferred)
- Solid understanding of Canadian construction drawings, detailing, and documentation standards
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong project coordination and management abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously, PMP is an asset
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, consultants, engineers, contractors, and team members
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and strong team collaboration skills, ability to think quickly on their feet
- Integral role in supporting the successful delivery of projects through meticulous coordination of all phases
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
