Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our maintenance team in supporting our construction operations. This role will require a 310T Truck and Coach Technician but preference will be given to those who have both a 310T and a 310S . Experience with heavy equipment is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical maintenance experience for heavy duty commercial trucks with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of heavy machinery and equipment. This role offers an opportunity to work in alongside another licensed 310T mechanic in a well maintained shop on a variety of equipment including bull dozers, excavators, compact equipment, dump trucks, and other heavy duty machinery. Typical work weeks will be from 7AM-5PM Monday to Friday. Candidates are expected to supply their own tools. Specialty tools for specific equipment is provided by the shop.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components
- Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
- Inspect equipment for safety hazards or potential failures and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with other mechanic and operations team to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability
- Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in maintenance and repair for heavy duty trucks
- Ability to analyze complex mechanical and electrical issues quickly and effectively
- Communication skills for interacting with other mechanics and the construction team
- Knowledge of safety standards related to commercial maintenance operations
- Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration

Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour
