Job Description:
Rockwood Tree Service Ltd. is seeking a Novice Climber/Bucket Truck Operator to join our professional team in Ajax, ON. This position is ideal for someone with a few years of experience in the tree care industry who is looking to advance their skills in a supportive, safety-focused environment. Responsibilities:
- Assist with tree removals, pruning, and trimming using climbing techniques and aerial lift equipment
- Operate a bucket truck and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform climbing duties under supervision, with opportunities to grow into more advanced roles
- Maintain a safe and clean worksite, including brush removal and site cleanup
- Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections
- Collaborate with the crew to complete jobs efficiently and safely
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience in the tree service, landscaping, or related outdoor labor industry
- Valid G driver’s license (mandatory)
- DZ license preferred
- Comfortable working at heights and with power tools/equipment
- Physically fit and capable of lifting 50+ lbs
- Working at Heights and First Aid certification are assets
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
