POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Site Supervisor to lead roofing and sheet metal projects from start to finish. This is a leadership role with real boots on the ground — you will manage crews, coordinate operations, and step in as an installer when the job demands it. The right person leads by example, knows the trade inside and out, and holds their team to a high standard of workmanship and safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Site Supervision & Project Management
- Oversee daily site operations across roofing and sheet metal projects
- Coordinate and manage crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
- Ensure work is completed on schedule, on budget, and to Aimed Group's quality standards
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks throughout all project phases
- Report progress, issues, and updates to project management
- Manage site documentation including daily logs, timesheets, and material tracking
Hands-On Installation
- Work alongside the crew as an installer when required
- Perform and oversee installation of roofing and sheet metal systems including:
- Copper, zinc, and steel roofing and custom sheet metal
- Natural and synthetic slate roofing
- Cedar shakes and shingles
- Flat roofing systems (modified bitumen, EPDM, TPO)
- Flashings, coping, eavestroughs, downpipes, and custom sheet metal details
- Maintain and enforce high workmanship standards across all scopes
Health & Safety
- Enforce all health and safety policies and procedures on site
- Ensure compliance with Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
- Conduct regular toolbox talks and on-site safety briefings
- Identify and mitigate site hazards promptly and effectively
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Experience & Trade Knowledge
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in roofing and sheet metal (required)
- Demonstrated experience with a broad range of materials including:
- Copper, zinc, and lead-coated metals
- Natural and synthetic slate
- Cedar shakes and shingles
- Steel and aluminum roofing systems
- Flat roofing (modified bitumen, TPO, EPDM)
- Custom sheet metal fabrication and installation
- Proven experience supervising crews on residential, heritage, and/or commercial projects
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems, detailing, and industry best practices

- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Certifications & Licences
- Valid driver's licence (required)
- Working at Heights certification (required)
- WHMIS certification (required)
Compensation: Competitive — Commensurate with Experience
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
