Position Summary
The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving beer, cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages in a fast-paced brewery environment. This role requires strong product knowledge, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on beers, cocktails, spirits, and food menu items.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Deliver excellent hospitality and create a positive guest experience.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
Beverage Preparation & Service
- Pour and serve beer according to brewery standards.
- Prepare cocktails, mixed drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages consistently.
- Verify guest identification and ensure responsible alcohol service.
- Monitor guest consumption and follow all liquor laws and responsible service practices.
Point of Sale & Cash Handling
- Process orders using the POS system.
- Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately.
- Balance cash drawers and complete end-of-shift procedures.
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized bar, dining room, and service areas.
- Complete opening, closing, and side duties as assigned.
- Wash and polish glassware.
- Restock beer, liquor, wine, mixers, garnishes, and supplies throughout each shift.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
Inventory & Operations
- Change beer kegs as required.
- Receive and organize deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock.
- Assist with event setup, teardown, and general brewery operations as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Safely move and change full beer kegs, including lifting, rolling, and positioning kegs weighing up to approximately 70 lbs (32 kg).
- Work in a fast-paced environment while performing repetitive tasks.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending or serving experience required.
- Valid Serving It Right required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Part-time
