We are looking to fill the position of Lift Operations Assistant Supervisor. This will be a full-time seasonal role with the opportunity to progress to a year-round position, for the right candidate. You will assist the Lift Operations Supervisor and Outdoor Guest Services Manager with the daily operation of the lifts, the performance of the lift operators, and any and all events that may result during the day-to-day operation. You Will:
- Assist with the daily operation of the Lift Operations Team: daily schedules, special projects, management of equipment, opening and closing day.
- Be able to perform any and all duties as required so as to be able to lead by example, and to be able to assist at any location, as required.
- Ensure that all the personnel have all the necessary tools in working condition so they can carry out their job.
- Help investigate and follow up on all lift-related incidents:
- complete required documentation promptly and completely
- follow up with customer service, as required
- organize a staff meeting or discussion with involved party
- attempt to find a solution to prevent reoccurrence
Interact with supervisors from other departments on lift-related issues.- Ensure that all on-duty lift personnel meet the appearance standards and provide a high level of guest service.
- Provide feedback to employees and help them to improve.
- Ensure all employees are working in a safe place and are not exposed to risk.
- Perform other tasks and duties asked of you by your manager.
- Follow all RCR policies, Employee Handbook guidelines, and Safety Management Program.
You Have:
- A friendly, confident & energetic style with excellent communication skills
- The capability to perform physically demanding work with a passion for working outdoors in the summer
- Previous experience as a Lift Operator, familiarity with passenger ropeway equipment and its operation (required)
- Lift 150: Ski Lift Operations Train-the-Trainer course certification (an asset)
- Previous experience supervising employees (required)
- Knowledge of Fernie Alpine Resort summer operations (an asset)
